*Introduction

The development of ICT skills in students was one of my priorities as a computer science teacher. Starting with the first years of activity, I understood that without permanent development in this field, I will not be able to achieve my goal of being a teacher, mentor, sometimes friend who will guide students to become specialists in information technology in the future. I started with CISCO courses, then with Etwinning courses. In 2015 I had the opportunity to participate in training courses in South Korea. It was the moment when I realized how I can develop this branch in our country, starting from the primary classes. In addition to the computer science discipline, we started to integrate robotics classes, then Graphic Design and other ICT disciplines or modules such as Digital Education, Scratch, WEB Programming, etc.

*Introduction

In the meantime, there have been continuous requests for cooperation in relation to education informatization in Korea from developing countries. In response to these demands, the e-learning globalization (ODA) project is a project that supports the bridging of the global knowledge gap through the transfer of educational know-how using ICT. Among them, the project to build a pilot classroom using advanced ICT is a project to build a new cutting-edge teaching and learning space that reflects the current status and demand of teaching and learning in the partner country based on the Chungbuk Office of Education’s know-how in building advanced classrooms and using classes. To this end, the Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education formed a high-tech classroom planning and design team. In addition, a high-tech classroom model was planned in consideration of the experience of building and operating the state-of-the-art (future) classroom in the province, the demands of exchange partners, and the teaching and learning status. In particular, under the theme of hyper-connection and convergence between Korea and Paraguay, the policy of the Chungbuk Office of Education and the characteristics of Paraguay's educational culture are combined to plan and promote high-tech classroom.

*Introduction

The Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education and the Colombia Ministry of Education have been exchanging the ict training program for 12 years since 2009. The exchanges so far consisted of a short invitational training session of about 2 weeks and a training visit to Colombia of about 1 week. Since last year, the invitation training has become difficult due to the spread of COVID-19. Face-to-face training has been changed to online training and long-term 1:1 exchange projects. Teachers belonging to the Incheon LEAD(Leading Educators for Achieve e-learning Development) group produced and provided contents such as edutech, SW education, and AI education based on the demand survey of the Colombian Ministry of Education. For a year, teachers from both countries have been working together on a 1:1 project under the theme of ICT education and cultural exchange. The Incheon Office of Education and the Colombian Ministry of Education have moved beyond the simple donor and recipient countries to the position of partners in carrying out projects together. The Colombian Ministry of Education announced that it plans to support ICT education in Colombia by organizing the teachers participating in the exchange project as LEAD COLOMBIA.

  • One of globalization’s biggest obstacles was always culture. Do you think it could also make the globalization of E-Learning harder? Different cultures might accept these technological changes differently.
